The CBI is held in high esteem by the public and Courts for its fair and impartial investigation. In order to discharge its responsibility effectively, the CBI seeks to induct experienced officers from the States, CPOs and Central Government, who bring to the CBI, vast working experience of parent departments. As such, provision for induction of officers on deputation has been made in the Recruitment Rules for various posts available in the CBI.

         During the period, S/Shri Mahipal Yadav, IPS (KL : 1997) and Anand Kumar, IPS (TN : 1999) joined CBI as Superintendent of Police. 5 Officers as Inspector, 7 as Constable and 1 as Senior Clerk Steno joined CBI on deputation basis. Besides induction of Shri Sujeet Pandey, IPS (UP : 94) and one Inspector has been approved by competent authority. Their joining is awaited. A proposal of CBI for induction of 2 IPS officers in CBI as SP is under consideration with the Government.
