The Recruitment Rules for some of the posts viz Hd. Constable, ASI, UDC, Hd. Clerk provide for promotion to a certain number of posts through Limited Departmental Competitive Examinations. These Limited Departmental Examinations are held from time to time and eligible qualified candidates are offered promotions.

         During the period, 3 Limited Departmental Competitive Examinations for promotion of Constable to the grade of Head Constable, promotion of LDCs to the grade of UDC and Head Constable to Asstt. Sub-Inspector were held.
