During the period, the following courses were conducted by CBI Academy at Ghaziabad (UP):-
Basic course on "Drug Law Enforcement" for Inspectors to SsP and APP to ALA of CBI and State Police was organized jointly by NCB & CBI Academy from 03-04 April, 2008. The course was attended by 33 officers from CBI and 20 officers from State Police.
Course on "Investigation of Economic Offences" for Inspectors to SsP and APP to ALA of CBI, State Police and Officers of Royal Govt. of Bhutan, Republic of Maldives and govt. of Bangladesh was conducted from 7-11 April, 2008. The course was attended by 40 officers which included 8 officers from CBI, 26 officers from State Police and 2 offices each from Bhutan, Maldives and Bangladesh.
Course on "Investigation of Cyber Crime Level - II" for Sub-Inspectors to SsP and APP to ALA of CBI, State Police and Officers of Royal Govt. of Bhutan, Republic of Maldives, Govt. of Bangladesh, Thailand and Pakistan, was conducted from 7-11 April, 2008. The course was attended by 28 officers which included 7 officers from CBI, 11 officers from State Police, 4 officers from Thailand, 2 officers each from Bhutan and Pakistan, 1 officer each from Maldives and Bangladesh.
Course on "Departmental Enquiries" for Inspectors to Addl. SsP & Head Clerks to OSs of CBI, Vigilance Officers of PSUs/ Banks and Dy. SsP to Addl. SsP of State Police was conducted from 15-17 April, 2008. the course was attended by 70 officers which included 7 officers from CBI and 23 officers from State Police and 40 from PSUs/ Banks.
Course on "Cyber Crime (incident Response) Level-I" for SIs to SsP of CBI and State police was conducted from 21-23 April, 2008. The course was attended by 27 officers which included 12 officers from CBI and 15 officers from State Police.
Course on "Investigation of Bank Fraud Cases" for Inspectors to SsP and APP to ALA of CBI, State police and Officers of Royal Govt. of Bhutan, Republic of Maldives, Govt. of Nepal and Govt. of Bengladesh was conducted from 21-25 April, 2008. The course was attended by 47 officers which included 9 officers from CBI, 30 officers from State Police and 2 officers each from Bhutan, Maldeves, Nepal and Bangladesh.
Short Training Programme for Officers of Indian Air Force was conducted on 24.04.2008. The programme was attended by 9 officers.
Course on "Vigilance" for Chief Vigilance officers of PSU/ Banks was conducted from 28 April-2 May, 2008. The course was attended by 19 Chief Vigilance Officers/Heads of Vigilance.
Workshop on "Antihuman Trafficking" was conducted jointly by UNODC and CBI Academy for Inspectors to SsP and APP to ALA of CBI and State Police from 5-6 May, 2008. The workshop was attended by 34 officers which included 19 officers from CBI and 14 officers from State Police.
Orientation Course for Newly inducted deputationist Inspectors & Dy SsP of CBI was conducted from 5 May-13 June,2008. The course was attended by 36 officers.
Course on "investigation Abroad" for inspectors to SsP and APP to Sr. PP of CBI and State Police was conducted from 12-15 May, May, 2008. The course was attended by 32 officers which included 13 officers of CBI and 19 officers from State Police.
Course for Promottee Head Clerks and CAs of CBI was conducted from 12-14 May, 2008. The course was attended by 10 officers.
Course on "Information Technology" for SsP, DIsG, JDs & ALA/DLA of CBI & State Police was conducted from 21-23 May, 2008. The course was attended by 14 officers which included 1 officer from CBI and 13 officers from State Police.
Vigilance Course for Vigilance Officers (Junior and Middle Level) of PSUs and Banks was conducted from 26-30 May, 2008. The course was attended by 46 officers.
Course on " Evidence Recovery, Preservation and Exploitation" for Inspector to Addl. SsP of CBI and State Police was organized by FBI, USA from 16-19 June, 2008. The course was attended by 30 officers which included 6 officers from CBI, 6 officers from NSG and 18 officers from State Police.
Course on " Effective Prosecution" for APP to Sr. PP of CBI was conducted from 16-20 June, 2008 which was attended by 26 officers.
Course on "Cyber Crime (Incident Response ) Level-I" for SIs to SsP of CBI, State police, Officers of Royal Govt. of Bhutan and Republic of Maldives was conducted from 30 June-2 July, 2008. The course was attended by 22 officers which included 12 officers from CBI, 6 officers from State Police and 2 officers each from Bhutan and Maldives.
In addition to the above, a lecture on "International Laws Treaties" was delivered by Prof. Bharat H. Desai, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, on the request of CBI Academy, on 8.04.2008 at CBI Head Office. A total of 40 Senior officers attended the lecture.
