SEVEN YEARS RIGOROUS IMPRISONMENT TO THEN SSE, RAILWAY IN A BRIBERY CASE

      The Special Judge, CBI cases, Dehradun has convicted Sh. Ramvir Singh Solanki then SSE, Railway, Kashipur U/s 7, 13(2) r/w 13(1) (d) of P.C. Act, 1988 and sentenced him to undergo seven years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs. 40000/- in a bribery case.

      CBI had registered the case on a complaint against Shri Ramvir Singh Solanki, SSE, Railway, Kashipur. It was alleged that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs. 10000/- for making final bill of the complainant. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red handed on 10.01.2016 while accepting the bribe. After investigation, a charge sheet U/s 7, 13(2) r/w 13(1) (d) of P.C. Act, 1988 was filed against accused on 29/02/2016. Charges were framed against the accused under the said sections.

            The Trail Court found the accused guilty and convicted him.
